Kab-hegy is located in the southern part of the Bakony Mountains, in Veszprém County, between Úrkút and Nagyvázsony. Rising to 599 metres, it is the highest point of the Southern Bakony, welcoming visitors with its forest-covered landscape and unique natural treasures.
What is Kab-hegy Famous For?
Kab-hegy is primarily known for its stunning panoramic views, volcanic origins, and the transmission tower standing at its summit. The mountain is the remnant of an ancient basalt volcano and forms part of the volcanic landscape of the Balaton Uplands. The more than 200-metre-high transmission tower at the summit is one of Transdanubia's important broadcasting stations and is clearly visible from afar, making it a distinctive landmark.
